HVAC and Electrical Branch Manager – Madison, WI

Job Summary:

Republic, a 109-year old nationally recognized, third generation enterprise headquartered in the Quad Cities has an immediate opening for a Branch Manager at our new Madison location.

Republic is one of the largest independent distributors of electrical, heating, air conditioning, energy management, refrigeration and sign support products in the entire Midwest. In addition to the headquarters in Davenport, IA, Republic has branches located in Dubuque Iowa, Cedar Rapids Iowa, Des Moines Iowa, Peoria Illinois and now Monona, Wisconsin.

In this role, you will oversee daily operations of the branch and staff to ensure that all operational functions are completely performed, outstanding customer services is provided, and internal procedures are followed. This is a working management position with a sales and sales support role. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Promotes exceptional customer service through timely customer interaction and problem resolution.
  • Directly supervises mechanical sales counter, warehouse, and delivery personnel.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining branch morale by coaching and setting examples with leadership skills.
  • Assists in daily ticket writing, taking orders over the phone and from walk-in customers.
  • Oversees and assists with daily tasks of the warehouse staff including receiving, inventory control, order picking, and delivery.
  • Plans and coordinates deliveries for customers and between branches.
  • Implements and enforces operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Maintains proper inventory control procedures.
  • Responsible for planning and maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and sales counter areas.
  • Provides oversight on product returns, defective inventory, and warranty claims.
  • Guides and coaches counter staff through complex order situations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Works closely with Sales and Purchasing to deliver accurate and efficient sales support outcomes.
  • Utilizes inventory and order entry functions in the company’s ERP system, as well as helping others to research and troubleshoot.
  • Oversees and schedules maintenance services for the branch facilities, equipment and vehicles.
  • Help drive an agenda for continuous improvement.
  • HVAC and Management experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
